Frequently Asked Questions 

WHAT INSURANCE IS REQUIRED?

The couple is required to purchase Day of Insurance. Our minimum requirement is a $1,000,000 liability with host liquor liability. All vendors must have the proper insruance as well.

AM I REQUIRED TO HIRE A DAY OF COORDINATOR? 

Yes, couples are required to hire a Day of Coordinator. 

DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF RECOMMENDED VENDORS?

Yes, we have a list of recommended vendors that we suggest you choose from. All vendors must have the proper insurance, and must be approved by our staff.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY?

Dogs are allowed on the property but are not allowed inside the house. Dogs must be leashed, picked up after, and attended to at all times. 

WHAT ARE THE LOGISTICS IN TERMS OF SET UP / CLEAN UP?

Bortner Valley will set up and break down the tables and chairs. Your Day of Coordinator, and other vendors (florist, rentals, etc.) are responsible for decorating the space. Everything brought in on-site must be removed the same night. 

WHAT HOTELS DO YOU RECOMMEND? 

The Hilton Garden Inn/Owings Mills and Marriott Owings Mills Metro Center are 15 minutes away from the venue.
